The
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering
established in the year 2002 run under the Faculty of
Engineering & Technology (Co-Education), formerly known as APPA
INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY at Sharnbasva University.
The E & CE course is of four years Under-Graduate (UG) program
in Bachelor of Technology, approved by All India Council for
Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The Department also
offers two PG programs, M. Tech in Digital Electronics and M.
Tech in VLSI Design & Embedded Systems. The PG programs were
started in the year 2013 with an intake of 18.
The Department has 30 professionally qualified faculty members
with various research specializations (VLSI Design and Embedded
systems, Antennas, Digital Electronics, Communication Systems,
Image processing etc.). The Department also comprises of
experienced and skilled technical support staff.
To be a global leader in Electronics & Communication Engineering
by imparting quality education and building the culture of R & D
to meet the societal/ industry needs with ethical
professionalism.
M1: To
equip the students with the basic concepts in the field of basic
sciences, Engineering Sciences and including necessary skills
that will enable them to identify and solve the challenges faced
by the Electronics Industry.
M2: To impart the technical education
with the state-of-art
technologies to meet the growing challenges of the Electronics &
Communication industries.
M3: To carry out the research in
interaction with organization
of Local Interest, National interest and industry on the issues
and challenges faced by our nation in particular and the world
in general.
M4: To inculcate the significance of
human values based on the
concept of Dasoha Philosophy of Lord Sharnbasveshwara i.e.,
“Service to Humanity is Service to God” and professional ethics
to serve the society.
The
department has established training placements and research labs
such as Embedded Systems Lab, IOT Lab, VLSI Lab with the latest
technical tools for encouraging students and research scholars
in updating their knowledge on the latest technology.
To bridge
the gap between industry and institute, the students are exposed
to various professional activities like invited talks by
industry experts, inter collegiate workshops/ conferences. The
department conducts Technical Symposium’s and National level
Project Symposium’s evaluated by Industry experts from Industry
and Alumni on a regular basis. The students are given technical
training on industry requirements for quality internship and
placement. The students are placed in several reputed MNC’s like
Samsung Semiconductor, Ampere, Cadence, Broadcom, Nvidia, Analog
Devices, Xilinx, Tech-Mahindra, Cognizant, TCS, CISCO, DRDO, GE,
Seimens etc.
